A computer shapes crowns and inlays right away
Gradually, new computer technologies are taking over slow and troublesome procedures. At PSH TandlægeCenter we have invested in a lot of new, modern equipment, which makes it easier for us and more comfortable for our patients.
Our latest addition is a totally new way of making crowns and inlays. Everything is done in one single visit, and the procedure doesn’t require troublesome mouth trays.
A three-dimensional picture
The dentist simply leads a small scanner camera over the place where the new crown or inlay is to be placed, and all the information is saved in a CEREC computer which measures the shape of the new crown or inlay precisely. A small cutter which is connected to the computer then instantly cuts the inlay or crown into the exact shape and colour – and it’s ready for use!
Colour and strength just like normal teeth
The dentist uses special ceramic porcelain with the same hardness and look as normal teeth, so you cannot tell the difference.
This is all done in one single visit, and a quality crown made professionally normally lasts for many many years – it’s a good choice.
