Root canal surgery using lasers
A lot of people have tried root canal surgery. With traditional procedures, it is rarely a pleasant experience, and even though the work is done very carefully, many people experience discomfort with e.g. some kind of infection which needs treatment.
Lasers can also help prevent such discomforts. There are now special lasers which are suitable to clean and sterilise all root canals in connection with a root canal treatment, easily and painlessly.
The dentist starts by taking an X-ray. The laser’s very fine light beam ensures that all bacteria (100%) are killed instantly in the whole root system.
The advantages are obvious. The patient avoids discomfort, it heals faster, the whole treatment normally only requires one visit and all in all, it is much more comfortable for the patient. Furthermore, with laser treatment there is a higher chance that the patient will not get an infection which requires post-procedural treatment.
